Gradual long climb to the Alps from Nice. First half has lots of traffic.
Second half in alps proper, much nicer. Not very steep , but always climbing .

RIDING DAY 2 - Saint Martin Vesubie to Saint Etienne de Tinee (MAP)
First day in the Alps. Climb to a sky resort, and crazy downhill to Isola, to finish at the bottom of the main climb next day. (2850 Meters).

RIDING DAY 3 - Saint Etienne de Tinee to Coll de la Bonnette to Barcelonette (MAP)
Climb the tallest pass on the Alps. The last 100 meters are the worst.
